Hansen’s diseaseの用例

Hansen’s disease is only mildly contagious. But Japan’s leprosy patients were discriminated against and confined to sanatoriums under the Leprosy Prevention Law that continued through to 1996 from 1931.
ハンセン病(らい病)の感染力は弱いにすぎないのに、日本のハンセン病患者は差別され、1931年から1996年まで続いた「らい予防法」に基づいて療養所に閉じ込められた[監禁された]。
