According to Yi Xianliang, deputy-director general of the Department of Boundary and Ocean Affairs under the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the Spratly Islands in the South China Sea are China’s intrinsic territory, and what China does or doesn’t do is up to the Chinese government.
中国外務省国境・海洋事務局副局長の易先良氏によると、南シナ海のスプラトリー諸島[南沙諸島]は中国固有の領土で、中国が何をして何をしないかは中国政府が決めることだ。
China conducted a test flight with a civil aircraft at the airstrip on Fiery Cross Reef, one of several artificial islands which China has constructed in the Spratlys. But Vietnam protested the China’s action, saying it violated Hanoi’s sovereignty.
中国は、中国が南シナ海・スプラトリー(南沙)諸島に建設してきた人工島の一つ、ファイアリー・クロス礁の滑走路で、民間機を使ってテスト飛行を行った。これに対してベトナムは、「主権の侵害」として、中国の行為に抗議した。
