According to the Supreme Court’s ruling, a provision in the Civil Code, which stipulates the share of inheritance given to a child born out of wedlock shall be half the amount given to a child born in wedlock, is unconstitutional.
最高裁の判断によると、「非嫡出子に与えられる遺産相続分は、婚姻関係で生まれた子に与えられる金額の半分とする」と明記した民法の規定は、違憲である。

According to the Supreme Court’s ruling in 2014, the upper house election in 2013, in which the maximum disparity between the value of votes was 4.77-to-1, was in a state of unconstitutionality.
最高裁が2014年に示した判断によると、1票の格差が最大4.77倍に及んだ2013年の参院選は、違憲状態だ。
