現行の強姦罪の刑期の下限(懲役3年)は、強盗罪の刑期の下限(懲役5年)より短いので、強姦罪には法定刑の厳罰化[引上げ]が必要である。

Under the revised Penal Code which came into force on July 13, 2017, the crime of rape has been renamed “forcible sex and other acts,” and acts similar to sexual intercourse can also be considered rape and men can also be classified as victims.
