Age-related macular degeneration, an intractable eye disease which can appear as part of aging, damages part of the retina cells in the back of the eye and distorts the field of vision, causing loss of sight.
老齢化に伴って発病する目の難病である「加齢黄斑変性」は、目の奥にある網膜細胞の一部に障害が生じて、視界がゆがみ、失明の原因になる。
