❶〔変化〕a change

情勢は以前と変わりがない
The situation remains unchanged.／There has been no change in the situation.

貧乏なことは昔と変わりない
We are just as poor as we used to be.

彼の腕前は少しの変わりもなかった
His skill remained the same.

何か変わりがあったら知らせてくれ
Let me know if anything (unusual) happens.

いつもと変わりなく５時に退社した
He left the office at five as usual.

お変わりはありませんか
How have you been?／How are you (getting along)?

He looked his usual self.

❷〔相違〕difference

どの道を行っても大して変わりはない
It makes very little difference which road we take.

彼の常識は10歳の子と変わりがない
He has no more common sense than a ten-year-old child.
