かけきん【掛け金】

❶〔分割払いの１回分〕an installment，《英》 an instalment；〔保険の〕a premium

❷〔売り掛け金〕an account; a bill

かけがね【掛け金】

戸の掛け金を掛ける［外す］
latch [unlatch] a door

戸に掛け金が掛けてある
The door is latched [on the latch].

The door doesn't latch properly.
