Telling me to take good care of Mother, Father left to take up his job in London.

❷〔遺言する〕make a will; state in one's will

財産分与について何も言い残さないで父は亡くなった
Father died without leaving a will about the division of his property.

❸〔言い落とす〕leave ((a thing)) unsaid; fail [neglect] to say

何か言い残したような気がする
I have the [a] feeling there's something I forgot to mention.
