He promised to finish it by the tenth.

❸〔保証する〕guarantee, vouch for

その品物の質は請け合いかねる
We cannot guarantee (the quality of) that article.

彼女の人柄は私が請け合います
I will vouch for her character.／You can take it from me that she is a fine person.
