おこる【起こる】
❶〔生じる〕happen; occur
何事が起ころうと慌ててはいけない
You must not get upset no matter what happens.
恐ろしい事故が起こった
A terrible accident has occurred.
校内で暴力事件が起こった
Violence broke out at the school.
聴衆から笑いが起こった
The audience broke into laughter.
