I intend to go, rain or shine.／I intend to go regardless of the weather.

明日は雪になっても出発します
I am leaving tomorrow even if it snows.

いくら頭がよくても成功するとは限らない
However intelligent you may be, it doesn't necessarily mean that you will be successful.

いくら悲しくても泣いてはいけません
You mustn't cry no matter how sad you feel.

間違ってもあの人と口をきくのではないぞ
You are not to speak to him under any circumstances.

彼が何をすることに決めても，私の関与するところではない
Whatever he decides to do, it is no concern of mine.

❷〔…（である）けれども〕

秘密を知っていても私には教えてくれなかった
Though [Although] he knew the secret, he would not tell me.（▼althoughのほうがやや形式ばった語）／He knew the secret, but he would not tell me what it was.
