❶〔交際〕

あの人は付き合いが広い［狭い］
He has many [few] acquaintances.／He has a large [small] circle of acquaintances.

付き合い上手の［下手な］人
「a sociable [an unsociable] person／a good [bad] mixer

彼とは兄弟の付き合いをしている
He is like [as close as] a brother to me.

私たちはおれ，おまえの付き合いをしている
We are on a first-name basis with each other.

私たちは長い付き合いです
We have 「been friends [known each other] for a long time.

彼とは会釈をする［話を交わす］程度の付き合いだ
I have a nodding [speaking] acquaintance with him.

近所付き合いはうまくいっていますか
Are you getting along well with your neighbors?

彼とは付き合いがない
I am not acquainted with him.

なぜ彼との付き合いをやめたの
Why did you break off with him?／Why did you stop seeing [associating with] him?

彼は付き合いが悪い
He is not very sociable.／《口》 He doesn't like to hang out with the group.

I went to a bar with him just to be nice.
