❶〔知らせる〕tell ((a person (that; to do)))；〔伝達する〕convey ((a message to a person))
あとで電話をするよう伝えておきます
I will tell him to phone you later.
彼に伝言を伝えてほしい
I'd like (for) you to give him a message.／《文》 Please convey my message to him.
