❶〔好まないこと〕

彼は好き嫌いを顔に表す
He lets his likes and dislikes show on his face.

私のとても嫌いなタイプの男
the type [sort] of man I hate [detest]（▼detestのほうが嫌悪感が強い）

嫌いなにおい
a disagreeable smell

嫌いである
dislike／have a dislike of ((violence))／〔憎悪する〕hate／〔ひどく嫌う〕detest／loathe

彼は魚が嫌いだ
He doesn't like fish.

彼なんか嫌いも嫌い，大嫌いだ
I don't simply dislike him ― I detest [loathe] him.

彼の子供ぎらいはよく知られている
His antipathy to [toward] children is well known.（▼antipathyは「毛嫌い」）

嫌いになる
come to dislike／〔あきあきする〕get tired ((of))／〔興味がなくなる〕lose interest ((in))

彼が嫌いになった
I came to dislike him.／I took a dislike to him.

彼といっしょにいるのが嫌いになった
I got tired of his company.

パソコンはもう嫌いになったのかい
Have you lost interest in your computer?

❷〔気味〕a smack; a touch

彼の言い方はちょっと恩きせがましい嫌いがあった
There was a touch [smack] of condescension in his tone.

彼は熱心になりすぎる嫌いがあるね
He 「is apt [tends] to get too enthusiastic.

この説明書は詳しすぎる嫌いがある
This explanation is rather too detailed.

❸〔「…の嫌いなく」の形で，差別なく〕distinction

男女の嫌いなく
without distinction of sex

彼はだれかれの嫌いなく頼みを聞き入れる
He grants everybody's requests without playing favorites.
