❶〔存在する〕be; exist
小屋に牛が１頭いる
There is a cow in the shed.
幽霊は本当にいると思うか
Do you really think ghosts exist?
この山には熊がいる
Bears live [are found] in these mountains.
この湖には魚がたくさんいる
This lake is full of fish.
この地域には蠅がすっかりいなくなった
Flies have disappeared from this area.
モーア鳥はもう地上にいない
