❶〔太陽〕the sun；〔日光〕sunshine, sunlight
日が昇った［沈んだ］
The sun has risen [set].
日がさんさんと照っている
The sun is shining brightly.
日が差し始めた
The sun has begun to shine [come out].
日がかげった
The sun has gone behind the clouds.
この植物は強い日に当ててはいけない
You must not expose this plant to strong sunlight.
この色は日に焼けやすい
This color fades easily in the sun.
この部屋はよく日が当たる［あまり日が当たらない］
This room 「gets a lot of [does not get much] sunshine.
日のあるうちに目的地に着いた
