❶〔持っている，備わっている〕have
彼は金と暇がある
He has money and time to spare.
田舎に農場がある
He has [owns] a farm in the country.
我々には投票権がある
We have the right to vote.
彼には天賦の才能がある
He has [is endowed with] natural gifts.
その仕事をする資格が十分ある
He is fully qualified to do the work.／He has every qualification for the work.
❷〔行われる，起こる〕
試験は３月にある
We have examinations in March.／Examinations take place in March.
昨夜地震があった
「We had [There was] an earthquake last night.
オリンピックは４年に１度ある
The Olympic Games are held 「every fourth year [every four years].
あのスーパーで大安売り「がある［をしている］
