まぜる【混ぜる】

❶〔加え入れる〕mix ((A and B, A with B))；〔分離出来ないほどに〕blend ((A and B, A with B))

砂糖とバターを混ぜる
mix sugar and butter

数種のコーヒーを混ぜる
blend several kinds of coffee

ウイスキーに水を混ぜる
dilute whisky with water／water down whisky

二つの薬を混ぜる
compound two kinds of medicine (to make a new drug)

❷〔かきまぜる〕stir

コーヒーにミルクを入れて混ぜた
He stirred milk into his coffee.

バターを溶かして小麦粉を混ぜ入れる
Melt the butter and then stir in the flour.

卵をよく混ぜる
beat an egg thoroughly

❸〔ドレッシングなどとまぜる〕toss ((pasta in a sauce))

サラダにドレッシングをかけて軽くまぜる
add dressing to the salad and toss lightly
