たえる【絶える】
❶〔終わる，やむ〕cease, end, come to an end；〔とだえる〕be cut off
笛の音が絶えた
The sound of the flute 「broke off [ceased].
彼との連絡が絶えた
We have lost contact with him.
ついに息が絶えた
Finally he ceased to breathe.
油の供給が絶えた
The supply of oil has been cut off.
金脈が絶えた
The vein of gold ore petered out.
絶えざる努力をする

There are always people coming and going here.
