&fRoman1;〔縄などで結わえる〕tie; bind（▼縛って動けなくさせるときにはtieもbindも使えるが，犬をくいに結び付けるようなときにはtieを用いる）

しっかりと縄で縛る
tie a thing fast with a rope

馬をくいに縛った
We tied [hitched] the horse to a post.

彼らは私の両脚を縛った
They tied [bound] my legs together.

傷口を縛る
bind (up) a wound／〔包帯をする〕bandage a wound

人を規則で縛る
bind [restrict] a person with rules
