❶〔目に映る〕 ((物が主語で)) be seen, be visible, be in sight；((人が主語で)) (can) see
私の座っていた所からは試合は全く見えなかった
From where I sat I could see nothing of the game.
木の上の方に鳥の巣が見える
A bird's nest can be seen toward the top of the tree.
屋上から町がよく見える
We have a good view of the town from the roof.
スリップが見えてますよ
Your slip is showing.
水平線上に一隻の船が見えてきた
A boat 「came into view [appeared] on the horizon.
