説明
An akachochin is a small, casual bar or pub serving modestly priced drinks and single dishes. Akachochin literally means “a red lantern,” one of which is hung outside as a bar sign. Sake is the drink of choice at this type of establishment. The staple dishes are oden (stew in clear broth) and yakitori (skewered grilled chicken). While such bars have traditionally been a place for mostly male commuters to stop by after work for a drink, recently the clientele has expanded to include young couples.（意訳：あまりお金をかけずに気楽に飲める一杯飲み屋．赤い提灯が看板になっているのでこの名前で親しまれている．酒はおもに日本酒が飲まれる．つまみの定番はおでん，焼き鳥である．サラリーマンが仕事が終わってからよく立ち寄る場所だったが，最近では若いカップルも利用するようになった）
