❶〔なれ親しむ〕become familiar ((with))；〔慣れる〕get used ((to))

彼はすぐ外国の慣習になじんだ
He soon 「became familiar with [picked up] foreign customs.

やっと新しいやり方になじめた
He finally 「got used [became accustomed] to the new method.

連れ子は間もなく新しい父親になじんだ
Presently the child became attached to his new father.
