❶〔一個〕one ⇒いち（一）
とてもよく使われる動詞が一つ抜けてしまった
One very common verb was left out.
ブラシを一つ買った
I bought a brush.
りんごは一つも残っていません
We have no apples.

There isn't a single misprint on this page.
これらは一つ30円です
These are thirty yen each [apiece].
彼がたった今面白い情報を一つ聞かせてくれた
He has just given me an interesting piece of information.（▼an interesting informationとは言わない）
もう一つ二つ家具が要る
We need a few more pieces of furniture.（▼a few more furnituresとは言わない）
一つずつオレンジを子供たちに与えた
He gave one orange to each child.
彼らはあっという間に食べ物を一つ残らず平らげた
They ate up the food in no time.
箱が二つあり，一つが青で，もう一つが黒です
There are two boxes: one is blue and the other is black.
カップが３つあります．一つは赤，一つは黄色，もう一つが白です［一つは赤で後は白です］
There are three cups. One is red, 「another is yellow, and the other is white [and the others are white].
注意をしておきます．一つ，遅刻をしないこと．二つ，無断欠勤をしないこと．三つ，いつも笑顔を忘れないこと

The crop failure is due in part to the unusual weather conditions.／One of the causes of the crop failure is the unusual weather.
一つには時間が掛かるし，もう一つには金がない
For one thing there is no time to spare, and for another I don't have the money.
一つには子供のため，一つには自分の楽しみのために海辺に行った
We went to the beach partly for the children's sake and partly for my own pleasure.

She cannot even make miso soup.
