❶〔減っていって無くなる〕run out ((of))

私の持ち時間はもうすぐ尽きる
My time is running out.

資金が尽きてきた
We are running out [short] of funds.

その重量挙げ選手はついに力が尽きた
The weightlifter's strength finally gave out.

万策尽きた
Every means has been exhausted.

敵は兵糧が尽きた
The enemy soldiers have come to the end of their food supplies.

❷〔果てる〕

旧友との話は尽きそうにない
There seems to be no end to the things she and her old friend have to say to each other.

アカシアの並木はどこまで行っても尽きないように見えた
The rows of acacia trees seemed to extend almost endlessly.

❸〔限る〕

その部屋は豪華の一言に尽きる
The room is simply gorgeous.
