❶〔満足,自慢〕
彼女は得意の絶頂だ
She is feeling extremely happy and proud of herself.
クーデターは首相を得意の絶頂から失意の底に突き落とした
The coup d'état knocked the premier from the heights of glory to the depths of despair.
ちょっとうまく行ったからといって得意になってはいけない
Don't become complacent [smug] over your small successes.
彼は見え透いたお世辞ですぐ得意になる
He is easily pleased [flattered] by empty compliments.
彼は得意になって父親の手柄話をしたものだ
He would boast triumphantly of his father's exploits.

❷〔優れていること〕

He is good at arithmetic.
