❶〔折り折り〕sometimes, (every) now and then [again], occasionally；〔時たま〕once in a while；〔間をおいて〕at intervals

時々田舎へ行く
Sometimes I go to the country.

彼は時々訪ねてくる
Occasionally [Every now and then] he drops in on me.

晴れ時々曇り
Fair, occasionally cloudy.

曇り時々雨
Cloudy, with occasional [intermittent] rain.

彼から時々手紙が来る
I hear from him 「once in a while [at intervals].

彼は時々思い出したようにジョギングをする
He jogs by [in] fits and starts.
