ねん【念】

❶〔気持ち〕a sense; a feeling

感謝［尊敬］の念
a sense [feeling] of gratitude [respect]

私を支えて下さった方々に感謝の念を表したい
I would like to express my (deepest) gratitude to those who have supported me.

自責の念にかられた
I had a guilty conscience.／I felt remorse for what I had done.

不安の念に襲われた
I was seized with (a sense of) uneasiness.
